Abstract

This study highlights the consequences of indiscipline on students’ academic performance, moral development, and the general learning environment. It argues that the absence of effective discipline undermines the goals of education and threatens national development. The study concludes by proposing practical and sustainable solutions, including strict but fair enforcement of school rules, increased parental involvement, moral and civic education, guidance and counseling services, and stronger government support for school discipline. By strengthening the role of law and promoting discipline, Nigerian schools can better fulfill their responsibility of producing well-behaved, responsible, and productive citizens.
