THE USE OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES TO ADVANCE AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS

Abstract

 The integration of technology in the teaching and learning of Agricultural Science in secondary schools has gained increasing significance, driven by advancements in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). As the agricultural sector undergoes rapid transformation through digitization, the use of devices such as cell phones, laptops, and projectors in education has become essential. This study explores the impact of technology on Agricultural Science education, revealing that it has significantly improved the learning process by enhancing communication between teachers and students. The use of ICT tools has facilitated smoother dissemination of assignments, projects, and tasks, ensuring timely submission and efficient feedback. Furthermore, students are gaining practical skills that better prepare them for the economic challenges faced in the country. Enhancing students' understanding and awareness of technological applications in agriculture will be critical for their future success in the field.
