Abstract

The study determined the factor analysis on the constraints to fish farming training needs in Anambra State served as the area of the study. The population comprised of all the fish farmers in Anambra State and 120 fish farmers were selected randomly for data collection.  Structured questionnaire was used obtaining the data, the questionnaire items border on the various socio-economic variables of farmers. The hypothesis stated for the study was tested using Multiple regression analysis was conducted to predict the influence of the respondents’’ socio-economic factors (independent variables) on their level of level of training needs (dependent variables). The study showed that major socio-economic constraints militating against training needs in the study area were political interference, poor level of involvement by the trainers and trainees, farmers’ attitude and expectations and physical location of the trainee.
