Abstract

Child rights protection in schools remains a central concern in educational management, particularly in developing countries where structural, socio‑economic, and cultural factors continue to expose children to rights violations. Schools are expected to function as safe spaces that guarantee learners’ physical safety, emotional well‑being, dignity, and equal access to quality education. The article examines the concept of child rights protection in schools, explores the major causes and challenges of child rights violations, and proposes practical solutions and recommendations for strengthening child protection mechanisms using international and national child rights frameworks, the article also emphasizes the critical role of school administrators, teachers, parents, communities, and government agencies. It concludes that effective child rights protection enhances academic achievement, reduces school dropout, and promotes holistic child development, thereby contributing to national development.
