Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in educational leadership is reshaping financial management and resource allocation practices within educational institutions. This paper examines the transformative potential of AI technologies in optimizing financial decision-making, enhancing operational efficiencies, and promoting equitable resource distribution. As educational leaders face increasing pressure to make informed financial decisions amid constrained budgets, AI tools provide data-driven insights that facilitate strategic planning and allocation of resources. However, the adoption of AI within financial management also raises significant legal implications, particularly concerning data privacy, accountability, and compliance with regulations such as the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This study highlights the ethical challenges associated with AI implementation, including issues of bias, transparency, and equitable access to resources. Furthermore, it underscores the importance of establishing robust governance frameworks to navigate the complexities of AI in education effectively. By addressing these legal and ethical considerations, educational leaders can leverage AI not only to enhance financial management but also to foster an environment that prioritizes student equity and educational outcomes. Ultimately, this paper contributes to the ongoing discourse on the intersection of AI and educational leadership, providing insights and strategies for effectively integrating AI technologies in financial decision-making while adhering to legal standards and promoting ethical practices within educational settings.
