This paper looks at how religious and moral values influence people’s decision to move between cities and villages in Nigeria. It explains that teachings from churches and mosques help shape people’s choices about where to live. Based on reports and existing studies, many religious groups have helped make village life better by setting up schools, health clinics, and farms in rural areas. These efforts attract some people to stay in or return to villages. While city life still brings change and modern lifestyles, religion and moral values continue to play a strong role in guiding people’s decisions. The paper also shows that both the government and religious bodies can affect migration when they provide good services and support in rural places. This study explains that people no longer move only because of money or better jobs. Many now move because they want peace, safety, and a life with meaning, as influenced by their faith and values
