Abstract

The study explored the roles of mass media in agricultural development based on the impact it plays in the provision of agricultural information to farmers and relevant stakeholders. Literatures were reviewed to obtain information for the study such as on the concept of mass media, types of mass media constraints to the effective mass media utilization and the role of mass media. It was recommended that agricultural mass media stations should be established by the Federal and State Government as well as provide individuals in order to meet with the agricultural information needs of the farmers among others things
