CONSTRAINTS TO EFFECTIVE FISH FARMING IN ORLU AGRICULTURAL ZONE OF IMO STATE

Abstract

The study assessed the constraints to fish farming. Orlu Agricultural area of Imo State serves as the area of the study. The entire 120 fish farmers in the area make for the population of the study and only 100 farmers were available for interview at the time of data collection. The data collected was analyses using the percentage method. The study reveals that inadequate agricultural information, poor finding among other things constrains fish farming and the study recommend among others that loans should be granted to the farmers.
