Abstract

The application of artificial intelligence (AI) to sports psychology has created new opportunities to improve athlete’s mental health and stress management. In order to detect track and manage psychological stressors that affect athletic performance and well-being this positional paper examines the revolutionary potential of AI-driven tools and applications including wearable technology virtual therapy and predictive analytics. AI provides timely interventions by offering real-time feedback individualised coping strategies and ongoing support systems in response to growing awareness of mental health issues in competitive sports. However, the necessity of human oversight ethical issues and data privacy concerns continue to be crucial. This study promotes a well-rounded athlete-centered strategy that makes use of AIs capabilities while maintaining the relational and compassionate elements of mental health treatment. The stance adopted emphasises how crucial interdisciplinary cooperation is to creating morally sound practical and inclusive AI-powered mental health frameworks for athletes of all skill levels.
