The study investigated locus of control as a predictor of life satisfaction among undergraduate students of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University in Anambra State, Nigeria. The study adopted correlational design. Three hundred and ten undergraduates were selected through stratified random sampling across three faculties. The Rotter’s Locus of Control Scale and Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) were administered. Data were analyzed using simple and multiple regression statistics. Findings revealed that locus of control predicted life satisfaction (3.08, p < 0.05), internal locus of control predicted life satisfaction (2.92, p < 0.05), while external locus of control negatively predicted life satisfaction (-2.03, p < 0.05). The study concluded that students with an internal orientation are more likely to experience higher life satisfaction. Encouraging internal orientation may enhance students’ life satisfaction and academic engagement.
