This study investigated the problems faced by university undergraduates in their dressing in South-East Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. It was guided by one research question and one null hypothesis. The population for the study was 131,207 university undergraduates from all the five Federal Universities in South-East Zone of Nigeria. The sample size for the study was 399 university undergraduates, derived using Taro Yamane formula, while multi-stage sampling technique was used to select the sample. Data were collected using questionnaire. Data collected were analyzed using mean and standard deviation while t-test was employed for testing the hypothesis at 0.05 level of significance. The findings of the study showed that university undergraduates struggle with a lot of problems in their dressing which include pressure, influence of social media, high desire for fashion in vogue, financial constraint, among others. Based on the findings, recommendations were made, among which is that the university should provide clear guidelines for what is acceptable or unacceptable in academic settings and make it available to students on orientation. This will help them make informed decisions on what to wear, especially when faced with any of the problems.
