Direct approach method was used by the researcher aided by eight research assistants to collect data for the study and a return rate of 97% was achieved. The data collected for the study was analyzed. The Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient r was used to answer the research questions. Hypotheses were tested using t-test. The findings of the study indicated among other things that the relationship was significantly significant between librarians’ computer literacy skills, and librarians’ task performance in private university libraries in south-east, Nigeria.
