TEACHERS’ QUALITY: A YARDSTICK FOR ATTAINING STANDARD IN SCIENCE EDUCATION

Abstract

 It is generally believed that a teacher is one who is capable of imparting knowledge and a nation builder. A teacher is seen to make a monumental positive change among the learners. In this paper, an attempt has been made to look into the meaning of quality education, teacher education, teacher’s quality and attainment of standard in science education. The paper recommends among others that the administrators of science education should adequately equip the science teachers and implement effective and quality professional development plan for science education teachers.
