ASSESSMENT ON USE OF MICROSOFT TEAMS AND INTERACTIVE WHITEBOARD AS A TOOL FOR INSTRUCTIONAL DELIVERY BY BUSINESS EDUCATORS IN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS IN ANAMBRA STATE

Abstract

This study investigated the assessment of Microsoft teams and interactive whiteboard as a tool for instructional delivery by business educators in tertiary institutions in Anambra State. Two research questions guided the study. Four null hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance. Related literature pertinent to the study were reviewed which exposed the need for the study. Descriptive survey research design was adopted, using a population of 119 business educators in all the four tertiary educational institutions in Anambra State. No sampling was used because the population was manageable. A structured questionnaire developed by the researcher was used for data collection. Cronbach Alpha method was used to establish the reliability of the instrument. The reliability yielded coefficient values of 0.91and 0.85 for the two clusters and an overall reliability value of 0.86. Data collected were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, t-test and ANOVA. The results showed that Microsoft teams were utilized to a moderate extent and interactive whiteboard were utilized to a small extent by business educators in instructional delivery. The results also showed that there was no significant difference in the mean ratings of the respondents on the extent of utilization of Microsoft teams and interactive whiteboard on the basis of type of institution and years of experience. Based on the findings, the researcher recommended among others, that Business educators should always adopt the use of new technologies in the teaching of business education programme for it has the potential of making teaching effective and enhancing learning.
